Fuego Vivo is a traditional Wayuu playera—a beach tote–style bag woven for warm coastal days, travel, and everyday carry. In Wayuu culture, a playera is an open-top, shoulder-carried bag designed to hold more, making it the go-to choice for the beach (la playa), markets, and long days out.
This piece features a deep navy base energized by bold accents of red, magenta, gold, and natural tones. The vertical motifs and radiant base reflect movement, celebration, and the vibrant spirit of life in La Guajira.
Each playera is entirely handwoven by Wayuu artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations. No two are ever exactly alike.
